When it comes to marketing, especially to making marketing videos, we usually tend to forget that even a few years ago it looked extremely different. Today the approaches in different social media change within minutes. What about types of video? What about styles of perspective?
However, everything was not only different when the rise of video marketing started, but, to say the truth, there were none of the tools we know today.
We don’t have to go very deep deep into marketing history and point out how the importance of video content changed over time, but we’ve got to look at the trends and maybe find out what kind of raw material is still good to use.
Only a few years ago we started to talk about the attention span and how short must be a marketing message in order not to bore people. This is wasn’t something founders or marketing directors would even consider two decades later.
Why would we want to look at each of the last three decades and try to distinguish what was trendy, well-made or simply interesting during this time? The reasons are more than one.
